ABSTRACT: Regarding the logical-mathematical knowledge of Brazilian students, Brazil has occupied the 58th position according to the PISA assessment (2012). In countries like England and the United States of America student interaction with digital games comes being used to reverse the deficit indices regarding math skills and has brought success to the learning of mathematical concepts. inside that context, the need arose to investigate how to model a digital game, how to articulate entertainment and learning, identifying which characteristics and what should contemplate a digital game, so that it would be able to stimulate the teaching process learning about quadratic functions for 1st year high school students. The general objective of this research is to propose the use of a module of the Language of Unified Modeling (U.M.L.) in the Agile Development process - Scrum, during the modeling of the game called D.O.M. (Oral Mobile Device), in order to enable the construction of a digital game that allows mathematical explorations about the behavior of quadratic functions for high school students. To achieve this objective, this research brought the computational modeling of a digital game in platform, in first person (single player), in a 2D graphical environment, developed in the Flash ActionScript object-oriented scripting language. The results of this research demonstrated how the U.M.L. can be introduced into the process Agile development of a digital game, in addition to contributing as a reference for the educational games industry and for studies involving games and teaching of quadratic functions.
