A mobilidade urbana na cidade de salvador sobre a óptica de uma cidade inteligente

Abstract

Urban Mobility is the condition created for people to move between different areas of a city. Due to the sophistication of modern life and the exaggerated growth of metropolises, urban planning has become an extremely complex task and needs to be holistically analyzed because of the sheer volume of information and considerations that must be made during its planning. In this sense, urban managers have invested in information technology to interconnect the city to create a Smart City, where data can be obtained in real time and used to promote more efficient and assertive planning that bring direct benefits for the population. Given this scenario, the city of Salvador has created and implemented new public transport systems, which allow the integration between different modes with the objective of providing faster displacements with a lower operational cost, but there is still no coordination of public managers in the execution of these actions. This paper proposes to investigate if with the recent changes in urban mobility, Salvador can be considered a Smart City and identify the advantages and disadvantages for the citizen of an integrated urban mobility system in the municipality of Salvador.
