Redes sociais e complexas: redes semânticas do ensino de física brasileiro

Abstract

Para o estudo de padrões emergente em redes semânticas, podem ser utilizadas as métricas pertencentes às redes sociais e complexas. Esta tese de doutorado tem como objetivo apresentar o método de construção e as análises das redes semânticas formadas pelos títulos, palavras-chave e resumos, pertencentes às dissertações e teses defendidas em Ensino de Física no Brasil, entre os anos de 1972 a 2006. As análises ocorreram por meio das propriedades de redes sociais e da estatística das redes complexas, em redes estáticas. Os resultados indicaram que os hubs presentes nas redes e os vértices mais conectados com valores de centralidade de grau próximos aos dos hubs indicaram as temáticas que nortearam o Ensino de Física no Brasil. Os destaques corresponderam em metodologias para o Ensino de Física, Psicologia Cognitiva, Concepções Espontâneas, História e Filosofia da Ciência, Currículo e Formação de Professores. Em termos do nível de ensino verificados até 1995, o foco correspondeu a educação básica e, a partir de então, o nível superior. As redes construídas apresentaram características híbridas, com indicativos de mundo pequeno e livres de escala. As análises de redes permitiram verificar a atuação profissional dos egressos, indicando a predominância na atuação em Instituições de Ensino Superior. Construímos e analisamos as redes de títulos e palavras-chave, por meio de um modelo computacional que evolua no tempo, utilizando um TVG (Time-Varying Graphs) e, analisamos a sua correlação também. Os resultados indicaram as variações temporais pelas janelas de tempo, anualmente, fornecendo indícios de como ocorreu a evolução da área de Ensino de Física no Brasil. Por fim, as análises de Teoria e Ciências das Redes apresentaram-se como uma forte ferramenta para indicar a evolução do Ensino de Física nacional.

ABSTRACT: For the study of emerging patterns in semantic networks, metrics belonging to social and complex networks can be used. This dissertation aims to present the method of construction and analysis of the semantic networks formed by the titles, keywords and abstracts, belonging to the dissertations and theses defended in Teaching Physics in Brazil, between the years of 1972 to 2006. The analyzes occurred through the properties of social networks and statistics of complex networks in static networks. The results indicated that the hubs present in the networks and the most connected vertices with values of centrality of degree near the hubs indicated the themes that guided the teaching of Physics in Brazil. The highlights corresponded in methodologies for Teaching Physics, Cognitive Psychology, Spontaneous Concepts, History and Philosophy of Science, Curriculum and Teacher Training. In terms of the level of education verified until 1995, the focus corresponded to basic education and, from then on, the higher level. The constructed networks presented hybrid characteristics, with small world indicative and free of scale. The analysis of networks allowed to verify the professional performance of the graduates, indicating the predominance in the performance in Higher Education Institutions. We construct and analyze the networks of titles and keywords, through a computational model that evolves in time, using a TVG (Time-Varying Graphs) and, we analyze its correlation as well. The results indicated the temporal variations in the time windows, annually, providing evidence of how the evolution of the area of Physical Education in Brazil occurred. Finally, the analyzes of Theory and Sciences of the Networks presented as a strong tool to indicate the evolution of the National Physics Teaching.
