Abstract: In this time of frequent and quick changes, die and mold makers are being forced to implement new technologies if they want to survive in their industry. This paper presents a didactic methodology for die and mold production in a manufacturing integrated system. It encloses the following manufacturing sectors: design, planning and production control, process planning and NC programming. The approach adopted focuses on the data transmission and retrieval, HSC (high speed cutting) milling, statistical process control and the relationship between its interfaces to manage the integration between the computational tool used for manufacturing planning and control.
