A gestão da manutenção em uma instituição hospitalar

Abstract

The objective main of this monograph was to verify the relevance of the existence of a Sector of Maintenance in the scope of the hospital management contemporary, having as research object the Foundation. They had been two specific objectives. The first one searched to verify the growth of the strategical importance of the Sector of Maintenance in function of the occurred technological evolution in the hospital building in architecture terms, equipment and installations. The second, showed how the management’s strategies of the Maintenance centered in the prevention can contribute for the reduction of the operational costs and for the improvement of the quality of the services given for the hospital institution. The carried through research evidenced, on the other side, the necessity of a Sector of Maintenance organized and structuralized for the correct management of the expensive indispensable technologies to medical activity and, for another one, the difficulties faced in function of the little valuation attributed for the hospital administrators to this sector.
