Desenvolvimento de uma câmara de combustão para testes de combustíveis alternativos

Abstract

A Unidade Industrial da empresa PDP METAIS, utiliza combustíveis à base de petróleo, que tem alto custo e elevado índice de emissão de poluentes e particulados na atmosfera, em seus fornos de redução de minérios. O consumo de combustíveis pelos fornos consiste no maior custo da unidade. O projeto foi solicitado pelo patrocinador, a empresa PDP METAIS, e será realizado pela ICT BAHIA com o objetivo de desenvolver um projeto de pesquisa e desenvolvimento tecnológico de uma câmara de combustão, com queimadores similares aos utilizados no processo real e realizar experimentos de gaseificação com combustíveis alternativos de uso comercial e assim prover resultados técnicos comparativos destes combustíveis, com a eficiência do combustível utilizado atualmente e analisar a viabilidade da substituição total ou parcial deste, na redução de minérios. A câmara de combustão para realização dos testes e análise dos gases será instalada na Unidade Industrial da PDP METAIS, compartilhando parte da infraestrutura já existente. A gestão deste projeto será realizada pela ICT BAHIA e utilizará as boas práticas do guia PMBOK ABSTRACT: The company PDP METAIS, in its Industrial Unit, uses petroleum based fuels, which has a high cost and high emission rate of pollutants and particulates in the atmosphere, in its ore reduction furnaces. The project was requested by the sponsor, the company PDP METAIS and will be carried out by ICT BAHIA with the objective of developing a project of research and technological development of a combustion chamber, with burners similar to those used in the actual process and to carry out gasification experiments with fuels alternative, for commercial use and thus provide comparative technical results of these fuels with the fuel efficiency currently used and analyze the viability of total or partial replacement of this fuel in ore reduction. The combustion chamber to execute gas testing and analysis will be installed in the PDP METAIS Industrial Unit, sharing part of the existing infrastructure. The management of this project will be executed by ICT BAHIA and use good practices guides from PMBOK.
