Abstract: One of the challenges in the lean culture implementation process is the choice of the learning
method that guarantees the understanding of production waste and the proper application of
lean tools, in a way that involves and engages all employees. In this context, the objective of this
article is to analyze the teaching methods in the learning of Lean Manufacturing, which are: the
traditional method and the teaching by gamification. The methodology used was a case study, in
which the Lean Game was presented, an analog board game, which has been used as a tool for
implementing lean culture in industries in Espírito Santo, being unprecedented in the state and
with national projection. Data collection was carried out through a descriptive survey type survey
for analysis and validation of the best teaching method and the Lean Game for the
implementation of Lean Manufacturing. The results of learning by the method of teaching by
gamification using the Lean Game proved to be satisfactory, attractive and preferred. Therefore,
it is concluded that the Lean Game is an important tool for implementing the lean culture, as it
involves and engages people, in addition to providing a better understanding of production waste
and the application of lean tools.

Abstract: This article presents a case study carried out in a chemical industry, where a proposal for the
application of Autonomous Maintenance in the production unit of this company was developed,
aiming at the qualification of the production teams in the maintenance activities, seeking to
obtain greater availability of the machines and equipment of the company. factory unit in order to
achieve the reduction of downtime for maintenance, equipment performance gain and better
product quality. In the course of this work it will be possible to find a brief history about the TPM
(Total Productive Maintenance) management methodology, from which derives the Autonomous
Maintenance pillar, thus showing its history, implementation and support pillars. A brief
description of the company object of the case study and its current state will be presented,
pointing out the problems encountered and as a possible solution, a proposal to implement the
chosen pillar step by step. At the end of this work, the implementation of the Planned
Maintenance pillar is suggested.

Abstract: With increasing competitiveness and market complexity, companies are looking for alternatives that
allow obtaining improvements in the performance of their processes through waste disposal,
increased productivity and quality. This work aims to present a case study of how an industrial
organization of the automotive segment can eliminate waste by using the tools of Lean Manufacturing.
For this purpose, diagnostic and follow-up tools are used with participant research, allowing a greater
interaction between researchers and collaborators of the industrial organization. Initially, the
implementation of the 5S methodology was performed in order to make the environment cleaner,
organized and standardized, then there was the preparation and execution of the Kaizen event, and in
the sequence there was the standardization of the tasks. The results indicate that a significant
reduction of waste in the process was achieved, obtaining productivity gains, reducing production time
and increasing process efficiency.

Abstract: The Value Creation (PDP) approach encompasses principles and practices that aim to reduce waste,
create value stream, and reduce cycle time. In technology sectors, the Lean Product Development (LPD)
is already well developed, however there is a lack in amount of information and publications for the
Brazilian food industry (AIB), which was responsible for 2.2% of the national GDP in 2017. The present
work aims to find a simplified method of product development for the bakery sector, characterized by
the high demand of releases, rarely formalized Research and Development (R & D) processes and the
absence of targeted personnel in the area. A descriptive hypothetical methodology and bibliographic
review make up the research methodology. Lean tools and principles were systematicated exploited
and redirected for a value creation approach to be applied in food industry then the most common PDP
methods were investigated for the non-theoretical food industries. The methodology of reference and
insertion of a value creation approach was selected to obtain an indication of the Lean method in the
bakery segment. The results indicated the PDP which contemplated the value creation, and indicators
were elaborated to track methodology performance.
